PYV 2018 Summer Camp - Thank you for praying for us

Friends,

On Thursday Dec 27, a crowd from across Victoria will meet together at Campaspe Downs Resort (Kyneton) for the 2018/19 PYV Summer Camp. We are excited about hearing from Rev Toby McIntosh as he speaks to us all from the Gospel of Luke and helps us to see Jesus more clearly. Please pray for him and for how God will use him.

We are delighted to have such a good team of volunteer leaders who have committed themselves to be there. In particular, we are thankful for our convener Sherif Makar and for the team he has brought together. Please pray for him as he oversees the camp.

Please pray for the whole leadership team and for all they are doing in their own preparations, and for the wisdom they will share with the teenagers who attend.

We will have a number of people who are attending their first PYV camp. We are always excited to meet them, and to help them settle in, to make friends, and to get involved. Please pray for these new campers.

We naturally have a number of people who are returning to PYV Summer Camp. We love to have this group who come every year and build strong friendships. Please pray for them that they will see Jesus as the great motivation for all things.

We have done all we can to make the camp safe. We have a wonderful team of first-aiders, and a terrific pastoral care team. But we recognise that things happen that are outside of our control and planning. Please pray for a safe camp.

We also have a group meeting for training over this camp. The 2019 YouthMETRO trainees will be busy learning theology and evangelism with Matt Deroon and Nate Barbieri. Please pray for them as they teach by word and by example. Please pray for what God will do amongst our campers as the trainees share the gospel at camp.

As always, the details of the camp can be found at pyv.org.au and I will aim to post a daily report to my blog - https://ministryandyouth.blogspot.com/

Thank you for your constant prayer and interest in the youth of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria. They're a good bunch.
